The Bohemian Paris; the beginning of modern art, unknown artists struggling to make ends meet, girls working as painters´models; muses that one day they´ll become artists themselves,... and Picasso, of course.
Perhaps it was just a mirage. I thought for one moment I had seen Picasso in this ad.
Sometimes we need to take a second glance to realise that most things are not what they seem.
A bird landing on your head is a sign of good luck.

Winged Feet God meets Barbarian at Tokyo Fashion Week

That´s what happens when you try to mix the barbaric and the divine on the catwalk
Give wings to your imagination but please, don´t borrow them to birds.
After seeing the last show of Japanese firm Christian Dada at the Tokyo Fashion Week, Hermes ran away to the Olympus.
It´s clear that ecochic is not a fashion philosophy followed by Masanori Morikawa as we could see in his previous collection where models wore animal skulls.Needless to say that this controversial designer is a Lady Gaga´s favourite.

¿Qué color me sienta mejor?/Which colour suits me best?

¿Azul Marge Simpson o Verde "Llego-tarde-a-la-fiesta-de-San-Patricio"? ¿Pitufa o Elfo?
Marge Simpson style or "I´m coming late to St.Patrick´s Day"? Smurf or Elf? Should I go for red seen the challenge I face this week that is nothing other than doing my self-portrait? The alarm is on.

La peluda quema-sujetadores - Breaking Myths about Feminism Part 2

¡Y he perdido las pinzas!
Here we go with another extended and stupid myth about feminism: feminists have short hair and unshaved armpits; they don´t wear make up and they go for sporty and unsexy clothes. Feminists are unfeminine and bra-burning nutty radicals that hate girlie garments.
Fighting for equality has nothing to do with the fact of taking good care - or not - of your physical appearance. Feminism is about respecting individual choices. Feminism works towards a society where women aren´t judged by their looks or the way they dress.
The bra-burning that never happened. The women´s liberation movement organised a protest against the 1968 Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City. As an attempt to draw attention to the way women are judged as sex objects rather than people, a group of demonstrators tossed bras, popular women´s magazines, cosmetics, high heels and other stuff they called "instruments of female torture" into a big trash can that wasn´t set on fire.

Fashion and feminism are not mutually exclusiveYes the world of fashion fulfils many of the stereotypes, but I am both a model and a feminist and I'm not the only one by Sara Manresa, The Guardian

Unfortunately we still need it.
Desgraciadamente aún lo necesitamos.

The Last Rehearsal - Último Ensayo.¿Empezamos?

"Much ado about nothing!" "But if it remains the same!" As you like it. This blog might be the comedy of errors but you know, all´s well that ends well. It´ll be the twelfth night since we took some time off from blogging and promised to come back soon with an improved space. Please, don´t stir a tempest in a teacup just because the results aren´t  what you expected. Not yet. Give us some time. Don´t think we have spend all these days off  "looking at the shrews" (mirando las musarañas) which in Spanish means literary "being daydreaming". Gosh, inserting titles of Shakespeare´s works into this text is harder than we thought! But what has Shakespeare to do with the rebirth of this blog? Nothing apart from the illustration whose characters could well be those of Titania and Puck from A Midsummer´s Night Dream. In fact the drawing belongs to our GlamourOsadas (Unbearable Glamourous) published in Foro Esther March issue.
¡Mucho ruido y pocas nueces!
