13 years ago Miyoko Ihara started to take photographs of her grandmother Misao and her inseparable cat Fukumaru. She named him Fukumaru in hope that "God of Fuku" (god of fortune) came and judging by the pics it seems that this pair have been blessed by fortune, indeed!

Winged Feet God meets Barbarian at Tokyo Fashion Week

That´s what happens when you try to mix the barbaric and the divine on the catwalk
Give wings to your imagination but please, don´t borrow them to birds.
After seeing the last show of Japanese firm Christian Dada at the Tokyo Fashion Week, Hermes ran away to the Olympus.
It´s clear that ecochic is not a fashion philosophy followed by Masanori Morikawa as we could see in his previous collection where models wore animal skulls.Needless to say that this controversial designer is a Lady Gaga´s favourite.

Bianca tries on a balloon dress - Rie Hosokai Ephemeral Art

"¡A esto lo llamo yo Alta Costura!"
Marvelled at Japanese artist Rie Hosokai balloon dresses we wanted to know what wearing them was like. As our budget couldn´t afford the real thing (in spite of the fact that they are made of inexpensive material,Rie Hosokai creations can cost a few thousands of dollars each) we decided to do it ourselves! To start off our gown was neither stylish nor shapely. Bianca, our lovely volunteer, said it was anything but comfortable; she couldn´t sit down or go to the toilet; even so she had never felt so ethereal. It was a strange feeling of lightness but at the same time of bulkiness. She was in high spirits and happy to see that all eyes were on her. The more her self-confidence grew, the more insignificant other people looked. That´s the power of a haute couture dress, it makes your imagination fly and if it´s filled with helium so does your body, especially if you are featherlight like Bianca. Our bone girl went missing for a couple of days until she was rescued from a chimney from firefighters. She had bursted her dress. Well, after eating and drinking so much in the festive season, who doesn´t? The worst of it was that a little girl that witnessed the scene cried her heart out since she had mistaken Bianca for Santa  Claus´corpse! Fashion Egobloggers please, take good note:
- DIY can damage your health and others. Let  alone that it often hurts your sight, too!
- Don´t release balloons as they can have devastating impacts on the wildlife and the environment.
- Limit the use of helium as it´s a finite resource which we are running out of quickly.
- Burst out laughing after reading this post.

Rei Hosokai balloon dresses and accessories last only 24 hours before starting to deflate and change colour at high temperatures.

In two years Hosokai sold 20 wedding dresses
Before starting her firm Daisy Balloon, Rei Hosokai was a florist.

Who could have guessed that having a "bun face" would become cool? At least that´s what some Japanese youngsters think as they get saline injected in their foreheads in order to achieve the bagel look you can see in the picture below.
Don´t worry, the bagel effect is expected to last up to 24 hours.
